Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Dryer.
Regular Cleaning of Filter
After each drying cycle, clean the filter located in the door opening. This prevents lint build-up that can affect drying performance and efficiency. To do this, open the filter, remove any lint, and wash it under running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
Checking the Drain Pump
Inspect the drain pump regularly to ensure it is clear of any obstructions. This is especially important if the appliance does not drain or spin properly. To check, remove the drainage duct, unscrew the filter, and remove any fluff or foreign objects.
Load Size Management
Obey the maximum load volume of 8 kg for washing and 4 kg for drying. Overloading can lead to reduced cleaning results and increased wear on the machine components. Ensure laundry is evenly distributed to prevent excessive vibration.
Use Appropriate Detergent
Use the correct amount and type of detergent to avoid excessive foaming, which can result in water leakage. Always follow the detergent manufacturer's guidelines and adjust based on water hardness and load size.
Avoid Over-Drying
Do not over-dry laundry to prevent fabric creasing or shrinking. Select the suitable drying time or dryness level based on the type of fabric. Refer to the drying programme table to choose the appropriate settings.
